Barb is a native of western Pennsylvania who graduated from Indiana University's PT program in 1979. Barb has a wide variety of PT experience through the years, but after getting her board certification in orthopedics initially in 1998, then her manual therapy certification from the North American Institute of Manual Therapy in 2008, her passion has been trying to identify what is causing a person’s pain and dysfunction, not just treating symptoms. This is through biomechanical analysis from the ground up. She has since trained in the Postural Restoration Institute, which helps restore neuromuscular control and balance to her patient’s muscle chain function and breathing, and Visceral Manipulation, which alleviates any restrictions coming from within that restrict motion/function. She was on the TMJ team at IU Health as well, prior to her joining the team here.   Her goal is to return people to whatever they want and need to get back to doing, be it gardening, doing their job, eating steak, or running a half marathon. She has also been a clinical instructor for many years, and has presented continuing education courses for therapists on Arthritis Management, and Sacroiliac Dysfunction.

Barb's specialty areas include: Spine, Sacroiliac joint problems, arthritics, shoulder, lower extremity biomechanical dysfunction, TMJ dysfunction and cervicogenic headaches.

Leisure pursuits include: working out, camping, kayaking, drawing and pastels, reading, volunteering and eating!!
